Hi, I’m Dom
I’m a curious person. I want to know what motivates people, what makes them tick, what’s behind that smile or frown. I want to be backstage, on-stage, mid-discussion when capturing events, not just in the auditorium. I want to see moments from angles you don’t typically see.
I do that because I want to bring people closer to the action, show the character behind the person. Whether that's capturing someone’s portraits, freezing the energy and emotion of dance performances, the buzzing of conversations, the fun of a party - or showcasing the epic-ness of landscapes and snapping a silly moment with my kids and pets for that matter.
This drive to get close and past the surface of things and people has shaped my approach to portrait and event photography. I am not just taking pictures of people, I a “making pictures of People”, with a capital P.
When not taking photos, you can find me biking in upstate NY, skiing out West, skateboardwalking my dog around home in Westchester, NY, trying to play drums to 90s rock, and geeking out over cameras, lenses, filters, photo editing etc.
